Government of Tamilnadu has done several proactive measures to improve the education across the state for sure. One effective measures among them is the Tuition Fees Concession scheme for higher educations. There are 3 types of tuition fee waiver schemes applicable for the Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (2017) and we are here to discuss them in detail.
First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession for TNEA 2017:
In the G.O. (st) No. 85 Higher Education (J2) Department dated: 16.04.2010, the Government have ordered to grant tuition fee concession to the candidates who are to be the first graduate in a family, those who are attending counselling and joined in professional courses in Government / Aided and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges.
Students have to submit the following documents:
Certificate obtained from Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar in the format prescribed in G.O. (Certificate No. II) only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate will be accepted which necessarily should include name of applicant’s father, mother, father’s father, father’s mother, mother’s father, mother’s mother, brother (s) and sister (s) and joint declaration by himself and parent/guardian in the prescribed format.
If the applicant’s Brother or Sister has already availed First Graduate Tuition Fee concession for studying Professional Courses, then the applicant is not eligible for such concession.
AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for TNEA 2017:
This All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) tuition fee waiver scheme is applicable only for the Self-Supporting courses available in the Government Aided Engineering colleges as well as the Self Financing colleges too. You can use this AICTE scholarship only for the B.E & B.Tech Courses indeed. AICTE TWF scholarship is offered by the respective management of the Institution for sure. The candidates whose father’s income doesn’t exceed the amount of Rs.4.50 Lakhs per annum are eligible to avail this particular scholarship in TNEA 2017 in certain.
Post Metric Scholarship in TNEA 2017 Admissions:
The Government of India had given a complete clear notification about the Post Metric Scholarship scheme dated on 24/02/2014 for the benefits of the Adi Dravidar and the Tribal community candidates in certain. That is using the Post Metric Scholarship candidates who are belongs to the SC/ST/SCA Community could get certain tuition fee waiver in their BE/BTech Admissions in the upcoming TNEA 2017.
